Well well well..who say choir has to be all rigid and..well...choir. We have proof the world (at least the hall people) we are a fun choir~!GOD has truly bless Sheares Choir. So many people (40) yet we are all singing with one voice. Especially the Sops. I'm so proud of all of them. We came from not knowing anyone to constantly supporting one another on the stage. I can feel szejie and xiuying supporting me during Itsumo Nando Demo. Eunice, ruini, meiqiang, pauline, and the rest of the sops are cheering me on during my solo part (my first solo!!)hehehe....
We worked together to create the best "new York New York". We sounded so sweet and cheerful.
The guys have improved tremendously since dunno when. The altos are really sweet and wonderful..Hahaha..Now I'm full of praises. We all deserve it. After many glitches throughout the journey, we finally show the hall what sheares choir can do. We have shown what we are to other hall during amplitude. :) Can't wait for next year when the practise start again. GladYs..be IC again YA....!????
I will always remember the feeling before Itsumo Nando Demo. We lined up during the drama "interview" , feeling excited and cheering one another on. Then the drama ended and in any second it's our TURn~!!
The light was off! Then, the anticipation heightened. We all preparing our voices, ready to sing our best. And not forgetting our smilez.~!!!Once the curtain opened, the smile fixed permanently on our faces and we focus on ourselves and Gladys. It seems like we forgot that there were audiences down there. We started our first note and it all flowed like river. Calm, continues and firm. I was holding the mic but it didnt seem to be there already. After the concert, one Jap guy came to us and said we did very well for Itsumo Nando Demo and gave us a packet of sweet. How wonderful~!!!!
Come to Salve Regina. we started like singing a hymn. Calm and serene, hit our high note perfectly. We can reached the G~!!!!(at least I reached it. I can't reach it when I sang it with SRchoir) Then It just flowed from then onwards. My solo part was quite scary. I stepped out and tried to count. The words just flowed out. I sounded different from practise. Kinda rush it through though. When I finished my first line, I heard cheering from the left side of MPSH. It kinda shaken me a bit. My smile somehow fixed there. Hahha..I was affected by the atmosphere then and kinda slide my notes. hAHhaa..Well, Thank GOD for blessing me and guiding me during the song. Then, the remaining of the "i love Him, I love Him" just seems so natural. I felt my jaw strained. Singing and laughing is no joke~!!!Tiring lar......but tremendously FUN~!!!
I would love to do it all over again..Choir OlympiCs????????
