It was terrifying. My sis SMSed me around 12 plus and said that there was a really great earthquake in Medan. Everything was shaking so badly that they have to get out of the house. Luckily no damage done. My family is fine. My house back there is a 3 storey semi detached but still...
Suddenly I felt so afraid and I called my house. After a few ring, my sis picked up the phone. I talked to mom and sis for a while. They were very fine. My family must be watching TVs and anticipating the worse outcome - either another earthquake or tsunami. The scale is 8.7 ritcher; only 0.3 away from the earthquake on 26th dec 04. The centre of the earthquake is at the coast of North Sumatera, near the centre of last earthquake.
I followed the news till 4 am. The next 3 hrs from the quake time are the most crucial period. Any funny looking wave during that period may lead to a devastating tsunami.
How fragile and helpless human are. Where do we go to when everything has pass away?
Who do we hang on to when things are bleak?Think about it.
