.His Mercy is New everY mornInG.

Ok..I should be sleeping but as usual, I always have the urge to type an entry once some stuff came up. So I'll dedicate 10 mins for blogging. Now is 2.10..see whether I can finish within time frame.
Recently I was discussing some issues with my mentor. One of it is the confusion in sexual preference that has been affecting many young adults especially males. To those who are very sure of your preference, praise God for that. However, there are many who are confused, lost and feel very extremely guilty for having "feelings" towards the same sex. The numbers are higher than we thought.I was quite surprise that this is a common thing among people of age 15 - 29. Research has been done and male tend to be sure of their sexual preference when they reached 30 yrs old~!!
So why this feeling exist? Many reasons...but one reason that is definitely very UNTRUE is "you are borned with it". My mentor said that it may be due to curiousity..wanna try something new..part of growing up..part of finding one's identity...feeling attached towards a good friend and mistaken that feeling as love..etc etc etc..but i stress again; it is not inborn!!!!NO NO NO

So how to resolve?Hmm...this one is really tricky. Stay away from that person if possible. Talking to a trusted friend may help a lot. At least you can share it with someone who understand and won't despise. Very importantly, dun be tempted. I think facing the problem may be useful too. Running away only temporarily burying the problem.
I think prayer works really well. When we pray we asked in the name of Christ. It is stated in the bible (many verses but for the meantime I'll just post these 2)

Matthew 7:7
Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you

Matthew 7:8
For EVERYONE who asks receive and he who seek finds and to him who knocks it will be opened.

This one is not about asking but about the promise of Jesus when one asked to be healed

Matthew 8:7
And Jesus said to him
"I will come and heal him"

Well..there are many out there and many has overcome this!! So to those who are struggling, don't worry and don't feel disgusted with yourself. It is part of growing up. Especially to christians, keep praying and God will provide a way.
Hmm..since I already listed 3 verses..I add another one

1 Corinthians 10:13
No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.

ok..overshoot by 17 mins~!!!haizzz...niTEzzz
