.His Mercy is New everY mornInG.

I'm back. To be exact I arrived at Changi airport at 0235, 28th May 05.
This trip to HK is my (lemme think...) 8th or 9th trip. To me, HK is never boring. Most probably I’ll be going there again on December with mom. Hehhe..

It’s fun watching the passerby minding their own business. The people are really well-dressed especially the young adults (both guys and gals). And they have really good skin; fair and flawless. The gals are daring in their make ups. You won’t see such dressing and make ups in SG. Oh..The guys are equally good in dressing. I caught a few good looking ones but didn’t have a chance to talk to one of them or take pic with them. I helped SQ took picture of this cute gal selling cha ye dan (tea leaves egg). OOops..sorry..not suppose to say that. Oh ya..the guys..Japs style is the one they are adopting. Not so much of coloured hair.

Shopping or rather Retail therapy always cheers me up. I didn’t buy much things but I got what I planned to buy (finally learned how to shop smartly). Throughout the trip, I bought a birkenstock slippers, a bag, 2 new tops, an Esprit jeans that I have been eyeing for a month, Red earth make up stuff, cute bottles, FIR cd, 2 VCDs and these really nice looking and delicious junk food. I’m always surprised by what I can find in the markets there. The stuff are cheap..real cheap coz I can bargain and slash prices. I got a shirt for HK$50 (initial price is HK$79). ^o^

<><>I spent a lot on food~!!! Surprisingly, I didn’t gain any weight. A little detoxifying is needed though coz the food are super oily. Fruits and Veg are almost never been included in the menu. Haiz..Poor stomach. We ate in restaurants for the first few days. The food is Okay but the teas are disappointing. Eating dim sum will not be complete with good tea. Although they only serve lower grade tea, with the right way of brewing, even lousy tea leaves can produce its best flavor.

Sadly, I didn’t get to eat at peng chan lou at Hollywood plaza. Then, I didn’t go to this Shanghai restaurant at the same plaza, da kuai huo, lian bang restaurant, Food court at Nga lan Hotel, Spaghetti House, Crystal Jade restaurant at Times square, and the tea house that serves HK Polo bun and shi met nai cha (stocking milk tea). But, it’s okay coz I will go HK again~!! Can’t wait for my next HK trip. Oh…forgot to add, I didn’t get to drink the home brewed soup too~!! These are the few disappointment lar..

Since I am on the topic of disappointment, I shall list out a few more disappointments
~ It rained almost everyday~!!!!!!!!and we don’t have umbrellas so became luo tang ji. We were walking in the rain. The worst was the day we went to Ocean’s park.

<>

~ I was sick during the whole trip. First, it was gastric and duodenum prob. I can’t eat anything without feeling bloated and nauseating. When my digestive system was back on track, I caught cold. -_-“ . My nose was blocked and irritated…sneezing all the time. Luckily it was not SARS period. My nose is still slightly blocked now. Well, people say, when it rains, it pours. I got two ulcers in my mouth and both are just next to each other. Great~! That just spoils my appetite and my mood. It’s amazing that I didn’t get any fever or worsened case of cold after a few days walking in the rain.

~ Well, I’m having PMS too. Hhaaha..especially in the morning before 11 am.

<>Okay! Back to happy stuff. We went to many places that I never visited on my previous trip. The Peak was really cooling. Too bad the sky is cloudy and misty too. HK night sky is superb. We went to watch Light musical at Tsim Tsa Shui. Across the waterfront, we can see the whole stretch of skyscrapers lit up, offering a spectacular display of colors and neon lights. Hmm..I’ll find a way to upload the pics later…

The guys went to see the big buddha statue at Lantau island. Derlyn and I didn’t go so we stayed at the airport and nua a bit. Then, we visited 4 markets; nu ren jie, miu kai (temple st), fa yuen kai, and a market at causeway bay. Oh.we saw candy lo too. She is really pretty with her new shorter hair style and very fair and slim~!! If only I…0_0 à day dreamin..hahah

<>Our plane back to SG was superbly delayed!!3 hours of delay. We supposed to take off at 820pm. In the end, after so many retimed, we finally took off at 1125pm. The delay is caused by sudden storm that started in the evening. Thunder and lightning followed and the airport issued red color lightning warning and many 6pm onwards are delayed. It’s like domino effect. One plane’s delay caused others’ delay also. The airport changed take off lane a few times and all planes queued up to take off..Haiz..basically a big messy affair caused by the sudden storm. Shortly after the take off, I saw lightning just beside the plane. It was really scary..coz it reminded me of Final destination.

So we were on air and I decided to sleep. But, I was woken up by sudden pain in my right ears. The pressure in the cabin caused it. Fortunately, the plane was descending, so the pain eased. Well, it took an hour for my ears to return to normal. Derlyn sent me back (Thanks a lot Gal~!) She is really a wonderful travel partner and superb shopping partner. Hhaha..not to mention her fondness for food and cool weather (or rather cold wind).

<>So I’m now here at ang mo kio house, enjoying the remaining slacking day before returning to hall and start my days as a ragger.
