.His Mercy is New everY mornInG.

I heard this story from Yes 933 Music diary. Rather touching..so I decided to put it in my blog.

Hi DJ, my name is Shi (poem). I finally understand that we need to cherish people around us. No one knows what will happen to people around you. I used to have a really really good guy friend. Just call him TY. We were very close. If we haven't got married by 40 yrs old, we will marry each other and have kids. That was our pact. Alas, he passed away in an accident. That day, he was sending me home. Afterward, he continued to send other friends home. On the way back to his own house, he met an accident. He suffered great injuries and passed away. I was devastated and cried for many days. I put away everything that is related to TY. The reality is that TY has gone but I refused to accept it. It was just a nightmare and one day I'll wake up and he will be at my side again. But it never happen.
One day, I came across my diary book. I stopped writing any entry since TY passed away. When flipping the pages, I found a picture that we took together. Tears rolled down instantly. As I stared at the picture, all the memories flood back. Seems like it was only yesterday we were laughing and joking together. I always thought of the possibility of falling for him. After all, we were very close and share many things in common. But, I cherished our special friendship more than anything and this restrained me from crossing the boundaries. So we stayed as best friend. The day we took that picture, we were in school's classroom. It was after school and TY and I were lazing around in the class. He had his guitar with him and was telling me how he taught himself to play guitar. So I asked him to play one of the many song he learned. With a big grin, he agreed and said he will play a song that he just learned for a few days. The title is Tears in heaven by Eric clapton. I still cried when I listen to this song. I loved his pleasant voice. When he finished the last sentence of the song, we suddenly became quiet. There was a stillness between us. TY wanted to say something but he held back. At that very second, I had a sudden urged to hug him. There was a special vibe between us. But we never do anything and the vibe remained in our hearts. Never be expressed. Afterwards, I happily clapped and praised him for his wonderful performance.
As I recalled this, tears continued to stream down my cheek. I decided to take out all the stuff that is related to TY. Laughter and tears mingled together as I took TY's stuff. He was my best friend, my soul mate. It is really hard to find such person that care so much and give so much without reservation. TY will occupy a special place in my heart always. Now, I can bravely say I have accepted the fact that TY no longer in this world.
"TY, I will always remember you...forever. See you in heaven"

I felt a tinge of sadness as I listened to this story. I agree with Shi. It is hard to find a guy friend that is also your best friend and your soul mate. When we found one, do we have the courage to keep the relationship at status quo? Does Shi ever wonder what will happen if she crossed the boundary to be more than just best friend?
Many times, we take people around us for granted; thinking that we will still see them tomorrow; thinking that they will live forever. But they don't.
