FOund this article in Cleo September edition. Anyway, It was a big chunck so I'll just state the important points.

Webster's dictionary describe Crush as A short lived but intense infatuation and that's usually as far as it goes. It's not love coz love develops from mutual attraction and respect between two people. A crush is usually only in one's mind and that's where it eventually ends. In short, crushes won't go beyond crush. They are generally unrequited - with little chance of forming a relationship. It is one sided and mostly based on physical attraction i.e lust and infatuation. Physical symptoms are rapid heartbeat, sweaty palms, knotty stomach and sometimes..well..for unfortunate few..drooling. Wrapped up in a crush, you will feel excited, turned on physically and emotionally when they are present or even when just thinking about them and you may well tounge tied whenever you try to speak to them. Your crush is suddenly the funniest, smartest, most attractive, most fascinating person you ever know. His or her smile is enough to make your totally disastrous day.
You are falling in love with someone you formed in your mind rather than the person itself. However, US scientists say that crushes are good for us coz crushes give us positive emotions that will promote secretion of hormone that is good for health. A mere 5 - minute burst of love can boost immune system for many hours. Well..amazing isn't it? So have more crushes. They are harmless and won't affect anything since you are not gonna tell the person involved or expect the other party to respond accordingly.
