.His Mercy is New everY mornInG.

Chingay costume dancers have arrived. The top looks exactly like rag costume. Midway fair has somehow...evolved. The essence is still the same but feeling wise..something has definitely changed. I was watching dancers practising in their new costume. They are very nice!
Before I continue, I would like to make clear of something; this is just the way I feel. Others may beg to differ.
As I was saying, Midway fair is moving on. 89% of the dance moves are still the same. But, the feeling it gives me is different. Is it due to the new dancers' own interpretation? My friend and I agree that when rag dancers perform, we can sense the magic of a fair. We were hooked on KY clownish expression, mesmerized by Janice's smile, involuntarily feel the "dark" presence of the magicians, entertained by the clowns and totally enthralled by the finale dance.
Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying new dancers lack all these things. There are still the fun element there. I still smile whenever I watch the dance. Well, I guess nothing is the same in this world. At least 50 more people get to feel the magic of Midway Fair for now. On 3rd and 4th feb, the whole Singapore maybe? You'll never know...^^
Childlike innocence that was once lost, may it be discovered once again as the Fair parade down the dream lane.
