It has come to an end. Never in my life I've experienced so many different type of emotions in one single period of time. God has been merciful and good to me. At the very moment when I needed someone to be there the most, He send me friends. Not only one came but those whom I cared and care for me came to comfort me. It is in this rag that I learned about hate and disgust. People can disappoint others but how many can bring it to the hate level? I must give it to them!The source of my inspiration becomes the source of my disappointment. Whatever. Everything has come to an end. Another chapter in my life closed to signify the start of another new chapter. I intend to fill them with laughter and smiles and happiness.
No doubt every single ragger has given their best on that faithful day. No one can say that we give a half finished job. People kept asking me "can we finished the float?" Yes we can, that's my answer and we'll finish it without compromising the design too much. The team whom others deem as "CMI" has done impressively by finishing the float way before stopping time. How many rag has ever done that other than Nexus? Daily express will go down in history as the rag with least number of member but still manage to complete the float and deliver a wholesome presentation. Rocking another train??God's blessing has been on me and the whole team. He uses the weak to bring down the strong and arrogant.
Daily express and Midway Fair both give me a unique experience. I've learned so much here that some will only get to learn it in working world. No doubt sacrifices need to be made. Once again, the ugly head pops up and caused a bit of ripple of troubles everywhere.
I stared at my rag Tshirt and asked myself how much have I done as a ragger, as a Shearites and as a Vice chairperson?Have I done enough?Maybe It was foolish of me for trying to meet the standard set by Midway Fair. As one senior mentioned, whatever left by Francis will remain as a legend. Which past and future rag is able to match up the Midway Fair?Well, at least I was part of that legend. Daily express is my baby and it will remain as one of my proudest moment till the end of my life. I thank God for such wonderful moment in my uni life. Wanna know something silly? I don't mind doing rag again but not as a main commer but as a passerby.
I guess the winning formula wasn't brought over to Daily express. Wanna know what is the winning formula?It's not great design or bombastic mechanisms or money. It is a strong and bonded team with dedicated and passionate members. People who are willing to go the extra mile for people around them. Remind me to tell the next rag okay?
Wno will take up the challenge next year?One thing we have done right is we managed to give some ragging experience to freshmen. These people are truly blessings from God. When I needed people the most, He sent me at least 15 committed freshmen to help me. To cut long story short, God can! and He is more than willing to do it for me.
