Indeed God give even more to those who seek Him. I had triple portions of God's bread the life. It is like eating sumptous meal that is happiness inducing. Amazing Grace. I want more!!
Bible study was great! I went with a brother in Christ. Eventually we met up with my CG people, had dinner with them and sat with them. Then, we rushed back for vcf cg. Again, I was taught something that never cross my mind. In the past, acceptance was what I did when I read the Word of God. Never before there are enquiries like who are these gospel written to. What are the style, what are the main topics. Today It was shown to me as clear as the day time. Bright and shining and full of glory. Indeed, God has opened my eyes to His precious. Mr Ong taught us on the theology of original sin and the virgin birth! It was refreshing to hear the message of grace over and over again in a day. That's why I said it's like eating a sumptous meal. Haha..well, blessing hits me from left right front back centre and everywhere!
I learned to treasure the presence of Holy Spirit and am still learning. Prompting that came up I follow. There's still so much to learn and so much to find out.
Something really heart warming happened during BS. Pastor Mark was preaching on how to raise our children (literal meaning not some figurative spiritual children). He talked about loving our children unconditionally just like how our Daddy love us. Mount Sinai way of teaching a child (do good will get praise and do bad will get punishment)will only breed fear and subsequently hate within the children towards their parents. He used his own family as example. His daughter's name is Kai Lin. I shared the same chinese name as his daughter. As he told us what he said to his daughter, it felt as if my Heavenly Daddy is calling me and telling me the very same thing. Daddy said. "Kailin, I will love you unconditionally no matter what happen. Whether you fail or succeed, I will still love you. Tell me what has happened and I'll know what to do." Awesome isn't it?
I got so much love from Daddy, it seems to be flowing out. And I want to share it with people around me. Continuously strengthening each other in the name of Christ Jesus.
People doubt the power of grace in believers' life. They equate forgiveness of sins and grace to license to sin and sin even more. But, when one know he is forgiven much, will that person purposely go and commit sin? If this believer purposely sin even after knowing the grace of God, I doubt that he is a Christian. I doubt his salvation. It is like a child, knowing that he is deeply and unconditionally loved by the parents no matter how big the mistake he committed, will he purposely commit even bigger mistakes?or will he choose to tell his parents the mistakes and tell them that he will never do it again? To me grace is what caused me falling in love deeper with Jesus my beloved Saviour. He first loved me therefore I know how to love Him. I'm imperfect but in Christ, I am perfect, because as He is so I am in this world. Hallelujah!!
Well, one thing I observed as I was waiting for my dinner (at 12.00am)to be served, auntie Siu Hong is always smiling and friendly although she was super busy with supper order taking. She is full of Grace of God. Loving and friendly, the love of God in her does shown. May this husband and wife continue in the grace of God.
A simple smile, a gentle gaze, that's all it takes to make one falls in love with another.
How mesmerizing a smile can be,
at least it's enough to brighten one's day
God's grace in my life fulfilled my need of joyfulness
His love rain down on me like gentle rain drops on the lilies in the field.
If He clothes the lilies, how much more will he clothe me, His beloved in Christ.
Small tentative steps I took in the past to come to God
Now, I can come boldly to the throne of the Most High
For I am forgiven
I am cleansed by the blood of the Lamb that was shed for many
His broken body make mine perfect
His stripes heals me of all sicknesses and disease
He defeated death to give me life and life more abundantly
He rose to heaven and seated at the right hand of God
All authority on heaven and earth are given to Him
He is worthy to be King of Kings
He is the world's saviour.
Now, He is restoring all things
He is inviting as many who are willing to be forgiven of their sins and to have eternal life!Amen
