A new year, a new beginning for me. It is always refreshing to know that it was never about me. It is all about my Lord, Jesus. I am forgiven of my sins because He was crucified. His blood washed me clean. I am righteous, set apart from the world and favoured because the power of His blood.
In this new year, the Lord is refreshing and reminding me some of the things that are fundamental - Jesus Christ and His work on the cross.
Romans 5:8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Yes that is right. He died for me, you and people in the world. Some people may say, "well, that is His problem coz no one ask Him to die for me." But, if He didn't die for us, we will still be in sins. For sinners, there's only death and wrath of God and ultimately eternal hell. This is the reality. Jesus came to the world and died for us so that we who accept and believe in Him will not endure the wrath of God. He came to save lost souls i.e. every single human who still hasn't know and believe in Jesus Christ.
Romans 5: 9 said Jesus' blood that was shed justified us. So what does it mean by "justified"? It means all the sins of the past have been totally erased as though one never committed them.
Romans 3:25 For God presented Jesus as the sacrifice for sin. People are made right with God when they believe that Jesus sacrificed his life, shedding his blood. This sacrifice shows that God was being fair when he held back and did not punish those who sinned in times past.
The person is made right with God by the blood of Jesus. God is holy and He hates sins. Adam sinned therefore He was thrown out of garden of eden. Human sins therefore we will never be able to get to God. He knows this and He came to us in the form of human flesh. We only need to believe Him and ask Him to be our Saviour and God.
Jesus died and was resurrected at the third day. No, He is not apparation or ghost or some sort of forms taken by so called after life beings mentioned in many religions. He is real flesh and blood. In Jerusallem, Jesus appeared to His disciples before He ascended to heaven and said
Luke 24:39 "Look at my hands and my feet. It is I myself! Touch me and see; a ghost does not have flesh and bones, as you see I have."
He is alive NOW! Our God is a LIVING GOD. We don't visit tombs or graveyards to pay respect to Him. Jesus is alive and now at the right hand of the Father, making intercession (praying) for us. And, HE IS COMING!!SOON!!
Jesus is not offering a religion. He wants and yearns for fellowship with every single one of us. No one is excluded. God wills that not one soul is lost. But, if you want to remain lost forever, please reconsider your options. What Jesus can give is not only forgiveness of sins and eternal life. He is a BIG God!Our tiny human brain will never able to comprehend this. And, eternal life starts the moment we believe Jesus. It can begin at the next second!Never underestimate the power of precious Holy Spirit.
Don't wait for the "right time". And, don't get left behind.
