Why do we need a Saviour?
Romans 3:23-24 said it loud and clear:
"for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.”
Everyone has sinned! Let me say that again. Everyone has sinned! I, my parents, my friends, my pastors, strangers in the street, people in this planet have sinned!! There is no such thing as great sin or small sin. Sin is sin. period. God said in Ezekiel 18:4
"For every living soul belongs to Me, the father as well as the son—both alike belong to me. The soul who sins is the one who will die."
So the wages, punishment for sin is death. Loud and clear proclaimed here. No good works or charities can ever save us sinners from the punishment.
But God is good. He always has been!! He never forget us, the works of His hand.
There is a way. The ONLY WAY. It is through Jesus Christ, Son of God, that we can be saved from this punishment. Through Him, we can have our salvation. Through Jesus Christ and ONLY Jesus Christ, we can have forgiveness of sins. No it doesn't just stop there. But after being forgive, we have eternal life with God. We have peace with God. We can be in His presence and not die! We have blessings, favour, prosperity and healings from Him. We can have personal intimate relationship with God, our Father in heaven. How can that be? Because divine exchange happened on the cross. The Lord, Jesus Christ took our sins - Yes ALL (past present future sins) our sins, the world's sins - upon Himself and gave us His righteousness, His holiness. So that we can be right with God. Our sins have been punished in the body of Christ when he hung there on the cross. He died for our sins and He rose again!! The sacrifice has been accepted by God the Father and we have been made right with God! His resurrection is like an invoice, signed sealed delivered by Him to us.
Isaiah 53:4-5
Surely he took up our infirmities
and carried our sorrows,
yet we considered him stricken by God,
smitten by him, and afflicted.

But he was pierced for our transgressions,
he was crushed for our iniquities;
the punishment that brought us peace was upon him,
and by his wounds we are healed.

Jesus didn't only bring salvation and peace with God to us. He also brings healing!! By His wounds we are healed! We are healed!! Not only emotional healings but physical healings! don't believe, Go to Singapore Indoor stadium this weekend 730pm(13, 14, 15 apr). Those wheel chaired in walk out healthy and whole! Those with cancers and tumors came out healed completely like the cancers were not there at the first place. Deaf ones hear. The list goes on and on!!
He is God, yet, He gave us the choice to choose Him or the devil. His will is for everyone to be saved!! Saved from what? Destruction, punishment of sins, bondage, sorrows, sufferings and death.

Matthew 18:14
Just so it is not the will of My Father Who is in heaven that one of these little ones should be lost and perish.

This is the will of God, what is your choice?
Now is the time to make a decision. Don't wait till tomorrow. What if you die tomorrow? You can't accept Jesus when you are in your grave. That is what we call "too late and too bad".
Act now. It is your choice. And no one can force you or make that choice on your behalf. This may be the most important decision you can ever make in your short time here on earth.
