Who can be in His presence and not be touched by Him?
Who can turn away from His awesome unconditional love?
In His presence, all else fade away, all else no longer matters.
A day in His presence is better than a thousand years in this world.
Awesome services!! Although I have to stand for more than 4 hours on heels, it doesn't matter. It is written in the bible that when 2 or 3 gathered together in His name, He is among us. This morning, He was there among the congregation. His presence was so real that it seems like He is standing there and smiling at every single one of us. There is peace, there is joy. Amazing grace, Amazing God. W.O.W
It's amazing to know that God almighty, Creator of this universe, loves us. It's even more amazing to know that we are He loves us even before we come into being.
Psalm 139:13-14
For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb.
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
Psalm 139:16
your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.
God saw us even before we are conceived. How and why? I don't know. He formed us in our mother's womb. He give us our personalities, features, characters and even our calling. Everything of us is from God!!He didn't plan for us along the way as we live by each day. God plan it wayyyyyyyyyy before we are even there. Wayyyyyyyyy before this universe come into existence. How amazing is that!! He loves us even when we are not yet there. Again, i don't know how. One thing I know, His love for us is beyond out puny mind, heart and soul can ever comprehend. Amazing isn't it?
We are sinners and a race condemned to sickness, poverty, suffering and bondage to the enemy without Christ. Humans are rebels. We rebel against God's will. Some even outrightly rejected Him. God can choose to wipe us all with one flood just like He did during Noah's time. But He did not.
Genesis 9:8-17
8 Then God said to Noah and to his sons with him: 9 "I now establish my covenant with you and with your descendants after you and with every living creature that was with you—the birds, the livestock and all the wild animals, all those that came out of the ark with you—every living creature on earth.
I establish my covenant with you: Never again will all life be cut off by the waters of a flood; never again will there be a flood to destroy the earth." 12 And God said, "
This is the sign of the covenant I am making between me and you and every living creature with you, a covenant f
or all generations to come: I have
set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth. Whenever I bring clouds over the earth and the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will remember my covenant between me and you and all living creatures of every kind. Never again will the waters become a flood to destroy all life. Whenever the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and all living creatures of every kind on the earth."
17 So God said to Noah,
"This is the sign of the covenant I have established between me and all life on the earth."
He is Sovereign God. Yet, He has established covenant with man.
defintion of covenant:
a covenant, in contrast to a contract, is a one-way agreement whereby the covenantor is the only party bound by the promise. A covenant may have conditions and prerequisites that qualify the undertaking, including the actions of second or third parties, but there is no inherent agreement by such other parties to fulfil those requirements. Consequentially, the
only party that can break a covenant is the covenantor
Thank God He didn't established a contract, which partly depends on the other party's performance i.e. men. He knows men will fail. Men will sin, deliberately or unknowingly. But, God is love. And He has demonstrated His love for us during the punishments and the cross. We belong to Him. Time to go home to the Father, friends. I have gone home. Have you?
