.His Mercy is New everY mornInG.

A friend casually implied that pastors should be the wealthiest people due to all the tithing and offering money given by the church. I explained to him that these money do not go to pastors but for the other use of that church. Cheekily, he said that I won't know what is happening under the table. Secret transactions, illegal transfer of money from one hand to the other...who knows. I am not surprised to hear this from a non-believer. After all, they do not know what is love of God. Who is Jesus and what is their destiny. I sincerely believe pastors are accountable to God in their actions, conduct, words - basically all aspect of their life and therefore, they will not purposely sin and abuse the liberty that they have in our Great Lord. Moreover, they should understand Grace of God better than lay people do.
People love to assume that under grace means we can sin willfully, do whatever we like and won't be punished by God. These are people who do not know Jesus and do not know what is grace. Here's a verse

Titus 2:11
For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men. It teaches us to say "No" to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age,

The grace of God that has appeared to all men is Jesus Christ Himself. He is the Word that become flesh.

John 1:14
The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.

So how does one who is under grace (Jesus Christ) continue on sinning like no body business. Grace will teach ( in amplified translation, the word use is train) us to reject ungodliness and unrighteousness in our present life. Back to the pastor issues. I am sure that these annointed men of God will not covet the money that do not belong to them. Moreover, covet money that belong to the Lord!
When one knows how much he/she is loved by Almighty God, there is no way he/she will rebel against God. No one can love us like they way God does it. Not even our earthly parents.
